Company Continues to Solve Big Data Problems for Multiple Industries with Key Hires
NEW YORK (July 25, 2012) – 1010data, Inc., a market leader in the sharing, analysis, and monetization of Big Data, has hired Steve Albert as vice president of financial services. In this new role, Albert will be responsible for leading the development of new solutions aimed at the financial markets. This industry has increasingly used 1010data’s cloud-based analytics platform to gain deeper insights into large data sets in order to improve business decisions.
Albert previously launched new information and analytics businesses at Equifax and MasterCard Advisors, and grew them into multi-million dollar organizations that served dozens of buy and sell-side firms. Prior to that, he was head of Market Strategy for Equifax's Consumer Information Solutions business and an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company.
“Now more than ever, financial services firms want to gain an advantage by leveraging large data sets in smarter, more effective ways, and are increasingly looking for easy, fast and scalable solutions that enable them to do so,” said Albert. “1010data’s unique, cloud- based approach to Big Data analytics enables organizations to access all of their data and analyze that data faster than ever before. This provides companies the valuable information they need to make better trading decisions.”
In addition to addressing data challenges for financial services companies, 1010data is experiencing significant customer growth in areas such as retail, consumer packaged goods and telecommunications. To better serve and support these expanding market segments, the company has recently hired over thirty new employees.
“As our customer roster continues to grow in every segment, we are adding experienced executives like Steve to better address specific needs for specific industries,” said Greg Munves, EVP & chief revenue officer at 1010data. “1010data provides a unique cloud- based platform that unifies Big Data and analytics, helping companies combine, share and analyze numerous datasets. They can then make more confident, data-driven decisions, and even monetize their data and analytics.”
