New Reports Provide Increased Transparency into Agency MBS Data
NEW YORK – February 7, 2011 – 1010data, providers of a leading hosted analytics and reporting platform for mortgage and asset-backed securities research and trading, and the American Securitization Forum (ASF) have announced the newest entries in a series of planned reports. Continuing their partnership, 1010data and the ASF are now launching the Agency MBS Market Review reports, which will offer aggregated statistics of data for each of the government- sponsored enterprises (GSE).
”We are pleased to offer these new Agency MBS reports as part of our continued collaboration with the ASF,” said Greg Munves, executive vice president, 1010data. “As with the previously- released Non-Agency MBS report, the Agency reports will provide a high-level overview of the current performance of these securities, and will serve as a starting point for investors to begin their own deeper analysis.”
This collaborative series of reports will provide summary information on key segments of the mortgage-backed securities (MBS) market. Agency securities are specific securities that are issued by Ginnie Mae, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac or the Federal Home Loan Banks. The Agency MBS Market Review reports will offer key insights into the state of the market.
Included in the reports is the new FHLMC delinquency disclosure data as well as the previously available GNMA delinquency data aggregated at the cohort level. With buyouts being a potentially important component of prepays, this data should help investors refine their prepayment expectations.
“Our partnership with 1010data helps us provide important information for our members,” said Tom Deutsch, executive director of the ASF. “We are happy to add these Agency MBS reports to our growing set of asset-backed securities data and analysis resources.”
1010data has decades of Wall Street experience and understands the data management and analytical needs of the MBS market. The company offers solutions that make it easy to manage and digest unlimited volumes of data for a business-critical advantage.
The Agency MBS reports will be available at no cost to ASF members starting in February. They will be updated monthly for FHLMC, and bi-monthly for FNMA and GNMA. They will be accessible on the 1010data website at http://www.1010data.com/asfmarketreview.
